Geotechnical Project Engineer

Responsible for wide range of duties such as managing geotechnical testing of project sites, evaluation of testing results, various methods of geotechnical modeling, slope stability analyses (utilizing GeoStudio SLOPE/W), groundwater seepage analyses (utilizing GeoStudio SEEP/W), geotechnical report preparation, geotechnical design, & various other geotechnical support services for water resources projects.  Occasional field work required which includes site inspections, surveying & construction observation of projects.  Position takes direction from supervisor but must also take initiative in addressing complex issues that arise during project work & capable of working with minimum supervision at times.  Up to 25% of time may be spent on site investigations for future and existing projects, observation of geotechnical sampling in the field, & observation of project construction related to geotechnical engineering.  Requires Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field. 2 years experience with geotechnical engineering including experience on projects within Nebraska or location with similar soil/terrain and including knowledge of risk and reliability performance modeling, laboratory soil testing techniques, and interpreting the results of soil testing.  Send resume to:  Melinda Rogers, 12702 Westport Pkwy, Ste. 300, Omaha, NE 68138
